    Description

    Star Splash Game Studio Sdn Bhd (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hidden Boss Limited in Hong Kong) is a game development service and solution provider in Malaysia. We focus on mobile games and GameFi, acting as an outsourcing studio, tailoring customized game development solutions for our clients and partners. Currently we are expanding our game development team and we are looking for experienced and passionate Unity game developers to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, develop and maintain game mechanics, features and systems using the Unity game engine.
    • Meeting with the design team to discuss game ideas and specifications.
    • Plan and implement game functionalities as per the communicated design.
    • Create and iterate quickly on prototypes that showcase new designs and interaction patterns.
    • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reliable, and reusable code.
    • Ensure the optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and games.
    • Identify process and application bottlenecks, and implement solutions in a timely manner.
    • Test game functionality and theme dynamics.
    • Ensure that products conform to high industry standards.
    • Responsible for game optimization and file size reduction in Unity development.
    • Work closely with other developers, artists, and designers to develop, optimize and maintain games and game-related applications.

    SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

    • Excellent knowledge of the Unity game engine, including the experience with scripting, the built-in UI system, materials, textures, animations, user session management and plugins.
    • Strong ability with the C# object-oriented programming language.
    • Experience with modular programming and code modularization.
    • Experience with mobile game development (iOS and Android).
    • Experience with version control tools such as GitHub and Sourcetree.
    • Experience in optimizing memory and space usage.
    • Able to identify errors and troubleshoot.
    • Able to write clean, readable, easily maintainable and reusable code.
    • Able to work independently and manage priorities.
    • Good communication and teamwork skills.
    • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, or a related field.

    GOOD TO HAVE

    • Experience with role-playing game (RPG) development.
    • Experience in using RESTful APIs and JSON for client-server communication.
    • Experience in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication in both Mandarin and English for communication with the Hong Kong project management team and technical team.
    • Verbal communication in Cantonese is a plus.
