    Description

    DFAD is a premier audio services provider headquartered in Los Angeles. We are currently expanding and building a local presence in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a Sound Designer in our interactive wing, you'll focus on field recording and designing sound for various games and interactive experiences

    Responsibilities:

    • Recording, Editing and Sound Designing
    • Working closely with DFAD's Field Recordists and Audio Leads to create source material.
    • Helping field recordists who flying to Malaysia with recording preparations.
    • Assist with the engagement and management of local talent and recording facilities/
    • Help improve process workflow and efficiency with local studios.
    • Maintain technical documentation and oversee data organization.
    • Keep track of task lists, backlogs, and communicating updates and deadlines.
    • Establish and maintain unique sonic identities for all projects under the guidance of the Audio Leads.
    • Work on Strategies, and MMO's

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5+ years in game audio and sound design
    • Field recording experience, especially in challenging environments.
    • Proficient in Logic, Pro Tools, and Reaper.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Team-player mentality, with a readiness to give and receive constructive feedback.

    Pluses:

    • Distinctive creative vision with a bold and unique style.
    • Proficiency in mixing audio in stereo and surround sound formats.
    • Experience in integrating assets using Unity, Unreal, and Wwise.
    • Background in AAA title game development and AR/VR development.
    • Ability to clearly identify areas for audio quality and design improvement.
    • Passion for modular synthesizers and a knack for technical innovation.
    • A diverse portfolio featuring hyper-realistic and fantasy sound designs.
