About Ashleigh Nagrey:
I am a penultimate year student at Brunel University London studying BSc Design with an interest in UX, digital and product design.
Actively looking for an exciting placement opportunity, I aspire to develop my skills and contribute to the design industry. Sharpening my skill set in university, I am competent in Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Figma, Canva and Microsoft Office.
With a strong understanding in user centred principles and sustainability, I aim to support the industry with my enthusiasm in making the average user’s life easier while taking environmental impacts into consideration.
Adopting critical thinking into everyday life, I have a knack for analytical work and problem-solving. Additionally, as someone who enjoys collaborating, I am eager to work with like-minded people who share a similar passion for the industry.

Dyson Collaborative Project

-Cultivated communication skills by presenting original concepts to the Dyson team regarding a gardening brief, allowing me to expand my interest in design innovation while enabling me to further enhance my technical skills
-Utilised background research to cater my product towards the target audience
-Sharpened my technical skills on software including Solidworks and Fusion 360 to illustrate my product and convey its bill of materials and manufacturability to the client
-Widened my knowledge of electronics by researching existing gardening tools while taking the Dyson brand into consideration

-Responsible for conveying and raising potential issues to the heads of the design department in regular meetings while offering sound resolutions
-Further developed my leadership skills by ensuring the students’ needs were met while fostering a great sense of community within the course
3M Industry Collaborative Project

-Developed and presented on a driving and safety product for 3M over the course of a three month project.
-Sharpened my resource skills by conducting in-depth research into the automotive industry, target user and existing market
-Undertook the creative and technical process to further develop my overall design skills through physical applications and industry-approved software such as Solidworks and Adobe Creative Suite
