    A company are seeking a qualified and experienced Financial Controller to join a growing retail organization:

    You will be a key member of the finance team, responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations and providing strategic financial guidance. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the financial health and profitability of our retail business.

    Description

    • Manage the entire accounting function, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow).
    • Develop and maintain the annual budget and financial forecasts, monitoring variances and recommending corrective actions.
    • Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
    • Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations.
    • Partner with store operations to analyze profitability, cost control measures, and identify areas for improvement.
    • Provide financial insights and analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management.
    • Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure a smooth audit process.
    • Stay up-to-date on retail industry trends and best practices in financial management.

    Profile

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CMA preferred).
    • Minimum 10 years of working experience, with at least 3-5 years within the retail industry.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and retail accounting practices.
    • Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
    • Proficient in accounting software, SAP.
