    Job Description

    Roles & responsibilities:

    • Strategic planning: Plays a pivotal role in building a comprehensive annual/long-term strategic plan for the airline group with clear building blocks, objectives and targets. Responsible for development and oversight of high-impact strategies, including fleet, network, cost, process optimisation, etc in order to support growth objectives while strengthening the business core to develop and maintain a competitive advantage. Plays a highly collaborative role and will routinely work with the business's senior executives in setting the vision and agenda of the business, provide clear insights on drivers of business growth, risks and opportunities, and work with planning teams in developing a clear roadmap that will realize the business's vision and goals.
    • Industry and competition analysis and benchmarking: Produces industry and competitive analysis and benchmarking, not limited to financial kpis, fleet, operations, supply chain, vendors analysis and macro evaluation. Able to identify market trends and business development opportunities
    • Strategic performance management: Help shape and drive internal performance analysis (trends/scenarios) relevant to corporate goal setting. Responsible for analyzing key business performance metrics and identifying internal performance improvement opportunities including uncovering areas that are underperforming.
    • Build relationships with HODs and advice and work with them to drive value and impact, shape our businesses, and design operating models for the future
    • Develop and prepare business strategy presentations for senior management and board of directors
    • Strategic orchestration: Leads cross-functional teams in the development of business-wide strategic initiatives and projects
    • Strategic risk management: Development of strategic threat identification and evaluation processes as well as overseeing their adoption across the business. Develops different possible scenarios for the mitigation of possible risks and provides recommendations for the management of these scenarios.
    • Operating Model Architect: Partner with senior leaders to architect future-proof operating models embracing the future of work, workforce, and workplace powered by transformational technology, ecosystems, and analytics
    • Business development and corporate finance: Analyse financial data including valuation and returns, prepare financial reports, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making in evaluating M&A, investment opportunities and fundraising projects.
    • Investor Relations (Aviation): Develop a messaging playbook and Investor Relations communications plan. Build good relationships with investors. Prepare and review any earnings release or publication of financial results. Prepare analysis and insights of competitors' performance.

    Job requirements:

    • Strong knowledge of key levers of the airline industry.
    • Minimum working experience in a similar role 8 years. Ideally in transportation or consumer-discretionary sector or any fast-paced and dynamic business environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to translate raw information into actionable strategies and initiatives. Ability to think strategically, learn fast and understand new business dynamics
    • Strong attention to detail, have high-energy and a proactive nature, have a positive can-do attitude, be results-driven and demonstrate an ability to stay calm under pressure
    • Strong financial modeling skills and understanding of financial reporting
    • Consulting, corporate finance and research experience are a strong plus
    • Ability and willingness to drive projects independently, working efficiently to deliver results rapidly and engaging the relevant stakeholders throughout the process
    • Excellent ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders
    • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) as well as highly developed collaborative nature
    • Proficient in use of Word/Doc, Excel/Sheets, Powerpoint/Slides, which will be necessary for the creation of both visually and verbally engaging analyses reports and presentations, for the business's leadership and management as well as senior strategy management
