- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations governing plant operations.
- Lead root cause analysis investigations for equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize downtime and production losses.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including equipment manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance records, to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Coordinate with procurement and inventory management teams to ensure timely availability of spare parts, materials, and supplies required for plant maintenance and operations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve plant performance and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in plant engineering, preferably in a chemical manufacturing, refining, or industrial processing environment.
- Strong technical expertise in process equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Proficiency in process optimization techniques, including Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing plant operations, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Professional engineering license (PE) or relevant certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended hours or weekends as needed to support plant operations and maintenance activities.
