Job Description :

Job Purpose .

Reporting directly to the Head of GT-DI and responsible for leading the Data Technology Delivery(DTD) team, including external vendors, to deliver data warehouse solutions and ensuringalignment with the business's objectives
Drive the DTD team and responsible for designing and developing the architecture and solutionsrequired for enabling effective leverage of internal & external data for bank-wide. Execution of thedata strategy initiatives to address the data driven requirements in the bank
Leading and managing production support of numerous applications such as Banking DataWarehouse (BDW), Enterprise Information System (EIS), Data Quality and numerous ofdownstream applications

Key Responsibilities .

Planning and Strategy

Interact with business stakeholders to understand business strategy, scenarios, gaps, issues and needs to create relevant strategies and solutions that lead to business outcomes
To ensure that the strategic and business objectives are put into practice
To leverage on technology as the key enabler for both organisational improvement and service transformation
Manage the prioritization, scope, budget and headcounts for the portfolio
Develops and spearheads the execution of strategies and business plans to ensure the Data Technology Delivery members work towards the common goals.
Keeps abreast of the data technology landscape in order to be able to take actions to capitalise on opportunities and mitigate operational challenges

People Management

Manage a development team in the identification of business requirements, functional design, data mapping process, development, testing, training, and operationalization of support
Ensuring all staff have the resources and skills needed to support all work initiatives
Identifies, allocates and organises resource requirements, including people development requirements
Communicate and document project status to business owners and relevant stakeholder on a regular basis (PWC, PSC, OSC)

Business Performance and Management

Collaborate with business users to draw out business needs and implement solutions
Analyse IT operational data to identify actionable improvements across applications
Address any business application issues and systems enhancements change requests for applications
Present reports defining plans, problems and resolutions to appropriate levels of management on a scheduled basis

Quality Management

Manage end-to-end delivery (in-house development) to ensure delivered changes are in line with business objectives within schedule, budget, Quality and meeting SLA agreed withstakeholders
Developing and maintaining system improvements, monitoring system utilisation and capacity review in conjunction with the infrastructure team
Collaborating with leadership to establish measurable individual and team objectives that are aligned with business and organisational goals
To identify new technologies for system improvement and cost management initiatives
To ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, IT-Security and good project management practices

Job Specification .

Qualifications

(Basic Degree/Diploma etc)

Bachelor degree or higher in a related field

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements

Relevant Work Experience

Solid knowledge of data warehouse principles and techniques

Strong managerial experience in managing a team with both technical and business-focused members

Experience in supervising and building relationships with people at all levels required

Experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing architecture, with experience across data integration and datadelivery/reporting

Extensive knowledge of database technologies (DB2, SQL Server,Oracle) and data modeling tools

Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership])

Strong presentation and influencing skills, required in guiding and assisting teams in putting forward proposals for clients, whenever necessary

Coordination and communication skills to work with other IT groups and business partners to ensure the alignment of planned objectives and activities
