    To be WSM's primary resource for continuous improvement of WSM's Management Systems, with special emphasis on efficient processes and system documentation.

    Ensure that all HSEQ resources in WSM are globally aligned efficiently utilized and that potential synergies between business units are explored and utilized.

    Establish and develop strategies and standards for Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality work within Wilhelmsen Ship Management.

    An integral part of the responsibility of the function is to coach, support, monitor and follow up the implementation of HSEQ standards in the organization.

    This role will work across the totality of the WSM organization and contribute to best practice and knowledge sharing across WSM.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Monitor that Audits and Reviews are carried out and monitor the results on a KPI level, and ensure timely follow-up/closing of non-conformities.
    • Ensure that systems and procedures for control and development of management system documentation are efficient to meet WSM's business objectives.
    • Act as Chairman of WSM's Document Committee; ensure that the committee functions according to its mandate and that the shipboard documentation is efficiently maintained and developed.
    • Participate as requested in risk management activities such as management system auditing, accident investigation and hazard / risk assessments. Also responsible for WSM's company security officers.
    • Proactive identification, translate into business requirements implementation, information to organization of new rules and regulations.
    • Identify, follow up and ensure implementation of applicable rules/regulations and processes, hereunder ensuring necessary control mechanisms to verify effectiveness of WSM's HSEQ system
    • Analyzing N/C's to find root causes and facilitate implementing mitigating actions to avoid repeats (Shore/vessels) where needed and required.
    • Spread of information to the Organization regarding Non Conformities and root causes
    • Identifying sources of non-compliant process follow-up
    • Cooperate with other business streams (i.e. Marine Personnel) in HSEQ matters
    • Develop business processes under Global HSEQ's responsibility and ensure efficient performance monitoring and reporting for these processes.
    • Support WSM's business processes and management system development by facilitation and training of responsible process owners and operators.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Minimum 3 - 5 years in maritime HSE
    • Bachelor's degree or Professional license required
    • Familiar with International Safety Management System (ISM) Code
    • Familiar with HAZCOM, risk assessments, and prevention measures designed to protect employees from injury. Experience in administrative, engineering, and PPE controls and work practices on vessels and shoreside safety teams. knowledge and understanding
    • Strong ability for Strategic thinking as well as System thinking ensuring a holistic view
    • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
