    ARA Experience is a bridal fashion tech startup whose has locations in both Australia and Malaysia. Our goal is to provide modern brides with A Refreshing Alternative to traditional wedding dresses. Through our interactive eCommerce platform, we focus on providing brides with their dream dress at an affordable price. Using our ARA Modular technology, we create a unique and personalized experience for each bride by accurately communicating the fit and style of the dress on a realistic version of their body. Our retail experience eliminates the stress that comes with other bridal dress shopping alternatives.

    To be successful for this role, fluency in English and Mandarin is required to communicate with our Australian and our China suppliers.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Fashion Designer at ARA Experience in Bandar Sunway. The Assistant Fashion Designer will pre-dominantly work with our director and Head Designer. You will be responsible for various day-to-day tasks, including patternmaking using CLO 3D, 2D paper patternmaking, product development, trade illustrations and communicating with our Australian sales team to ensure every client order is fulfilled. You will also be responsible for cutting all client orders and when required, production work such as light hand sewing, delicate lace work and sourcing of fabrics will be part of your job scope.

    • Full time, permanent
    • 9AM - 6PM
    • RM2800-RM4500/month depending on experience

    Qualifications

    • Minimum Diploma in Fashion Design
    • At least 1 years experience in a similar role is preferable
    • Experience with CLO 3D is advantageous
    • Skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator a must
    • Strong patternmaking and numeracy skills required
    • Flexible to travel to Australia for work if needed
    • Tech-savvy, digitally competent and always ready to try/explore new software
