    Description

    Summary of Duties

    • Conceptualize and implement effective PR strategies to build brand visibility, strengthen brand positioning, influence stakeholders, increase PR share-of-voice and achieve business goals.
    • Collaborate with relevant teams (Hospitals, Content, Digital, MarCom, B2B etc) to strategise and plan the overall Content Calendar. Work alongside Content team to create content that is relevant, compelling, and engaging to target audience and to be marketed across all offline and online platforms (both Domestic & International).
    • Work with hospitals to ensure events that require media are covered with appropriate story angle, doctors' interviews and within brand guidelines highlighting a competitive advantage.

    Main Responsibilities

    1. Create differentiated PR campaigns and initiatives, seek new opportunities and innovative ideas that are best-in-class to increase PR share-of-voice for the group both at hospital and Group level. i.e Pantai Hospitals, Gleneagles Hospitals, PCMC and Timberland Medical Centre.
    2. Launch PR campaigns/programs with effective media mix (print, digital, social media, influencers marketing, doctor KOLs etc) and clear KPIs, based on well researched consumer insights and a sound appreciation of the company's competitive strength and operational capabilities.
    3. Conceptualise paid media strategy and execute based on business objectives, negotiate rates, collaborate with IHH central team, hospitals, doctors, etc and monitor results.
    4. Build, engage, enhance and maintain good media relations with key media partners i.e. print media, magazines, radio, TV, digital, influencers, KOLs etc.
    5. Leads team to execute PR campaigns/programs, consistently evaluating and optimizing our current strategies and benchmarking these with competitor strategies. Ensure differentiation and innovations in PR strategy.
    6. Work together with HODs, Hospital CEOs, Hospital Marketing HODs, internal Marketing team in the formulation of PR strategies.
    7. Manage & execute all media events including press conferences, media briefings, media engagement, etc.
    8. Research and prepare press releases, byline articles, keynote presentations, KOL speeches, etc.
    9. Proactively pitch updates and newsworthy releases to ensure significant share of editorial opportunities across multiple media mix.
    10. Manage PR agencies deliverables, ensure the agency meets the set KPIs timely and have regular meetings to monitor progress.
    11. Partner with the Marketing team to create content that is relevant, compelling, and engaging to target audience and to be marketed via multiple platforms including digital and offline. Leverage on target audience's (patients, caregivers, consumers, partners) insights and trends via market research to identify new and compelling ways in crafting healthcare content.
    12. Work with translators (for vernacular or International content) to get content translated to the right mediums and ensure translated content accuracy.
    13. Effective utilization of allocated budget, monitor budget utilization and measure campaign/program/activities KPIs against budget/ROIs.
    14. Ensure timely submission of monthly reports.
    15. Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reports.
    16. Perform other related duties as may be assigned or delegated by the Superior or any other person as directed from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must possess at least a BA, Marketing, PR, Communications or Business Degree
    • At least 5 years working experience in PR positions.
    • Experience in managing PR for multiple brands nationwide, preferably from service industry.
    • Strategic mindset with high level of drive, creativity and passion to be part of an ambitious business.
    • High level of commercial and business acumen, strong analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.
    • A good team player and self–starter with excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Ability to multi-task and adapt rapidly to shifting priorities and new marketplace dynamics.
    • Strong presentation skills, extraordinary written and verbal communication skills especially in English and Bahasa Malaysia, detail oriented and resourceful.
    • Proficient in all MS Office applications (Powerpoint, Excel, Word).

    *Proficiency in Chinese Language is a plus
