- Serve as the School's new Director of External Engagement
- Teaching of UG and PGT courses in International Relations and Political Science
- Developing/updating of programmes and production/revision of course information
- Supervising UG, PGT and PGR dissertations
- Conduct research activities leading to external grant capture and publications in top outlets
- Undertake research supportive of knowledge exchange and policy engagement
- Display due regard for student well-being, principally by providing counselling, advice, referrals and references as needed
- PhD from an accredited and regarded university as well as the minimum of an associate fellowship on a recognized Postgraduate Certificate of Higher Education scheme
- Knowledge of academic disciplines of International Relations and Political Science; evidence of research abilities leading to quality publications and knowledge transfer
- For Assistant Professor level: teaching experience at least at the graduate student/teaching assistant level
- For Associate Professor level: University position and commensurate teaching experience
- Collegial nature, good citizenship, capacity for demanding work role in a major international satellite campus in a developing country context, concern for student well-being; engaging in community service
- Record of university employment and visiting research positions is desirable
- Research activities that support external/policy/civil society engagement
- Command of social media for student recruitment purposes and dissemination of research outputs is highly desirable; familiarity with online teaching tools
