    Description

    Overview

    As a Head of Supply Chain Excellence, you will lead and facilitate the application of the SC Operational Excellence framework; and identify, coordinate and actively participate in value chain improvement initiatives within Supply Chain to support the achievement of the country business strategy.

    This role is expected to achieve goals of capability development of Supply Chain, support collaboration across regions and functions, enable the use of best practice, support learning on demand, and develop a common learning infrastructure that allows for the leveraging of learning and development.

    You will support on developing the Talent Management processes to support the attraction, selection retention and development of motivated people who deliver high performance and are succession for the future and an agile workforce.

    You will work collaborate closely with Supply Chain Director, Heads of Department in Supply Chain, Finance and Human Resource, in implementing the following:

    • Manage and roll out performance, productivity and continuous improvement excellence in Supply Chain.
    • Build a strong supply chain organization development plan, executing it and build a strong pipeline of talent.
    • Lead and coordinate any study on capacity and long-term CAPEX strategy for supply chain. To track CAPEX spend for Supply Chain and ensure it is according to the timeline and achieves the budgeted ROI.

    This includes building capability across different levels of supply chain organization, through E&T and continuous process culture building within Supply Chain.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Facilitate and lead the implementation of country plans, work practices, and tools to support Operational Excellence (OE), while providing ongoing leadership, promoting knowledge management, and moderating global OE assessments.
    • Foster a CHANGE culture by developing and implementing an Operational Excellence (OE) framework, tools, and methodology through training, coaching, and hands-on demonstration; support asset management, quality, integrated management systems, health, safety, environment, and risk; promote continuous improvement, innovation, supply chain digitalization; and establish a system for recognition and rewards across the country.
    • Manage improvement projects by evaluating the value chain, coordinating project selection, benchmarking, leading and demonstrating project management, developing project management capabilities, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and with desired results through clear goal setting, resource allocation, scheduling, monitoring, and evaluation.
    • Drive business results through strategic planning, capability development, and talent acquisition within the supply chain by leading long-range planning and annual business plan processes, developing capability strategies and learning initiatives, steering global development programs, assessing ongoing learning needs, providing customized training, reporting on capability development activities, fostering internal subject matter experts, and facilitating effective talent acquisition and diversity support.
    • Coordinate, develop, and manage annual business plans and budgets, including capital budgets, while tracking productivity to meet annual targets.
    • Lead and coordinate any study on capacity and long-term CAPEX strategy for supply chain. Track CAPEX spend for Supply Chain and ensure it is according to the timeline and achieves the budgeted ROI.
    • Lead the yearly financial budget preparation for Supply Chain by working closely with heads of department and finance team. Reviews and prepare the RE budget as required for Supply Chain.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders on developing a clear training structure. This includes preparing the structure, conducting validation meetings with stakeholders, developing and implementing the annual training calendar that are aligned to business needs. A clear structure of training needs and development of modules in each level of the organization. This includes identifying training needs, developing the right modules and executing the training calendar with capability team and front-line leadership team.
    • Develop and align Supply Chain KPI in accordance with yearly Budget and BIG direction, with guidance from Supply Chain Director.
    • Be the contact person with global or regional Supply Chain community on data gathering, benchmarking exercise and knowledge sharing.

    Requirements

    • Ideally 10 years progressive experience in a combination of demand planning, production planning/scheduling, logistics, inventory control, purchasing, customer service, commercialization, import/export, and manufacturing management activities.
    • 5 years as a department manager or plant manager (small operation) in an FMCG Manufacturing environment.
    • 2 years of experience in operational excellence consulting at a plant or multi-facility level.
    • 2 years of experience in leading capital or process improvement projects, some experience in people change initiatives and process improvement.
    • Membership of a professional institute is preferable.
    • Background in Lean Thinking & Six Sigma Tools, Belt certification is preferable.
    • Good knowledge and experience in QMS, HACCP, GMPs, ISO, FSS 22000, OHS.
    • Experience of working with vendors, customer and consumer.
    • Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Office is preferable, Business system (SAP).

    • Effectively communication and Influence: Help others see future opportunities and influence them toward new strategies.
    • Budget management and forecasting.
    • Passion, energy and aspiration in Supply chain with the company brands and people values.
    • Advanced Asset Management.
    • Project Management certification.
