- Handle month-end closing within deadlines.
- Prepare full sets of accounts (AR, AP, GL, Bank Reconciliation, etc.).
- Generate accounting-related reports, summaries, and reconciliations.
- Manage statutory accounts, audit, tax compliances, and company secretarial matters.
- Prepare SST returns, act as a liaison for SST issues.
- Maintain digital and physical financial records.
- Process monthly payroll, claims, commissions, including statutory contributions for the local and regional team (Malaysia and overseas members).
- Manage errands related to government agencies, banks, company secretaries, tax agents, auditors.
- Optimize government incentives (e.g., Penjana), grants, and loan opportunities.
- Handle ad-hoc assignments.
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance, or equivalent accreditation.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in the financial/accounting field.
- Basic knowledge or willingness to learn about bank loans, corporate and government tax matters, and company insurance.
- Familiarity with SQL Accounting software.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated with strong analytical skills.
- Organized, independent, and a problem-solver.
- Fluency in Mandarin is preferred due to client interactions.
