    Description

    Responsibilities /Accountabilities:

    • Timely and accurate completion of monthly and yearly closing activities in accordance with accounting standards
    • Review contracts and assess the revenue accounting treatment in accordance with MFRS 15 Revenue from Contract with Customers
    • Prepare income statements analysis and balance sheets schedules
    • Perform reconciliation of balance sheet items with aged items properly explained
    • Implementing and executing accounting processes in line with the designed SOP
    • Drive process improvements to rectify errors and process gaps
    • Subject matter expert (SME) in the assigned revenue portfolio, of which to advice and handle queries from stakeholders
    • Timely resolve operations and systems related issues
    • Any other incidental duties assigned from time to time

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree/Professional qualification in Accountancy/Finance, with 3-7 years of accounting experience
    • Experience in external audit
    • Experience in complex systems environment, telco background is a merit
    • Good accounting and MFRS (Malaysian Financial Accounting Standards) knowledge, especially on MFRS 15 Revenue from Contract with Customers
    • Experience in finance systems migration is a plus
