    About the job

    Responsible for researching, designing, developing and promoting new and existing financial equity derivatives products to be traded in Bursa Malaysia Derivatives and to grow global participation in these products.

    This person will also be tasked to research and develop new products within the financial equity derivatives unit and to reviewing tactical strategies pertaining to market development of both existing and new upcoming products. in addition, this function entails the person to also identify, conceptualise and implement initiatives to enhance the Malaysia derivatives market infrastructures and services.

    Responsibilities:

    1.Lead the Financial Equities team in terms of formulation of appropriate product responses and initiatives taking into consideration the external environment and global trends.

    2.Lead the Financial Equities team to address, mitigate threats, risks and opportunities for the sustainable development of the BMDB and the derivatives market through product development policy and market development policy to be cascaded internally:

    a) Direct and lead effective communication of the product & market strategy throughout the division and with external stakeholders, to ensure buy-in and alignment;

    b) Direct and lead formulation of an effective product & market development strategy measurement process for monitoring actual performance against plans, to ensure that strategies are met;

    3.Lead the development and execution of major strategic initiatives in product and market development.

    4.Research, design, develop, launch and continuously monitor on progress and growth of existing and new derivatives products listed and to be listed on BMD. Build up a strong culture for product research leading to launching of new products and a strong education program to teach on applications of the products. Operate from developing the market through educating the market.

    5.To undertake any other assignments as assigned by CEO and Head of Product and Market Development.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in business, finance, law or other related discipline.
    • Minimum 5 years experience in managerial level and experience in capital market.
    • Strong negotiation skills, Derivatives Knowledge, Basic Legal and Finance knowledge.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Good leadership skills and strong initiatives.
