- Develops and co-executes on the Corporate Affairs strategy that seeks to shape relevant healthcare policies aligned to the organizations purpose and growth drivers
- Leads and plays a key role in managing relationships with government officials, business chambers, foreign embassies, and relevant market players within the healthcare ecosystem and ensuring all parties understand the positioning of AstraZeneca's products
- Builds on insights from legislative and regulatory changes, advises on impact of these changes to the company strategy and develops appropriate proactive responses to manage and mitigate any potential reputational risk to the company
- Work collaboratively within the commercial and enabling teams to ensure maximised efficiency of interactions with regulatory bodies and government officials
- Spearhead projects that are related to early access planning for a product strategy
- Maintain accurate assessments of competitors' products and provide advice on pricing and contract strategy required to optimize AstraZeneca's product positioning
- Hire, develop and retain top talents by ensuring discipline in talent reviews and succession planning and in championing people development activities
- Represent the company at public occasions and in interactions with external parties and present a positive image of the company
- Ensure a culture of ethics, integrity, and compliance is embedded in all business practices alongside full accountability for effective oversight and transparent upward reporting of compliance status in partnership with Global Compliance
- A top performer with a history of tangible results in previous roles, with a rich business experience in the 1-2 therapeutic areas
- With previous line management experience, you are confident in coaching and mentoring others to get the best results from your team
- You have previous experience in managing relationships and collaborations with key decision makers in the local health care system, government agencies, regulatory bodies and the patient community
- Your education background is in science and/or commerce, preferably with an MBA from a top university

In this role, you will lead all aspects of Corporate Affairs strategy while being primarily accountable for all external engagements with relevant external stakeholders and organisations. You will co-lead the commercial strategy, navigate engagements with key external stakeholders and co-execute on a collaborative strategy to deliver the company ambition.
