    Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

    Experience: 6-12 Years

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with key stakeholders, BA and development team to analyse and define technical solutions to meet business and non-functional requirements.
  • Design, development and testing of:
  • CDP Data processing pipelines
  • Data warehouse / Datamart's / dimensional models
  • Logical and physical database schemas, indexes, views, etc.
  • SQL queries
  • Scripting for orchestration, operations, and data management
  • AWS infrastructure and services
  • Supporting end users of our data assets (finding & understanding data, tuning queries, resolving data quality issues)
  • Low level performance analysis and optimization of databases, SQL queries, ETL processes, physical schemas, as well as underlying system and resource utilization.
  • Analysis of data and source systems.
  • Operational support of our data systems (incident response, CI/CD, Monitoring/Alerting, some database and system administration)
  • Understand the customers (marketing, sales, service) your team services, putting their needs at the center of all activity, guiding priorities based on where impact can be most significant. Collaborate with internal customers across the APAC region to gather feedback and ensure expectations are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the data engineering process working with the Delivery lead to provide regular communicate progress, risks, and changes to data that will impact stakeholders.
  • Contribute to an environment of collaboration and continuous learning within the team.

    • Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Data Warehouse / Datamart development experience
  • Advanced SQL development
  • Strong software engineering, coding & scripting
  • Data pipeline / ETL / orchestration development
  • Physical, logical, dimensional data modelling
  • Strong understanding of databases and database performance optimization
  • Experience with big data systems (eg Hadoop/EMR, Spark/Presto, MPP relational DBs)
  • Experience with AWS (particularly EMR & S3)
  • Data visualization tools
