    Job Description

    • Monitor and troubleshoot the organization's technology systems, including servers, networks, databases, applications, and other components, to identify and resolve issues promptly.
    • Implement automation and monitoring tools to track system performance, detect anomalies, and respond to incidents effectively.
    • Participate in the design, deployment, and configuration of new systems and applications, ensuring they meet performance and security standards.
    • Collaborate with software developers to design and deploy applications in a way that maximizes availability, scalability, and reliability.
    • Create and maintain documentation related to system architecture, configurations, an troubleshooting procedures.
    • Work on maintaining the security of systems and applications, including patching vulnerabilities and implementing security best practices.
    • Perform regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and data migration tasks to ensure data integrity and availability.
    • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical incidents and emergencies.
    • Identifying and implementing automation opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
    • Continuously optimize system performance, identifying bottlenecks and suggesting improvements.
    • Implement and adhere to industry best practices and compliance standards.

    The right individual will have the following key success capabilities and qualities;

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent (experience).
    • Strong understanding of system administration, networking, and IT infrastructure.
    • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
    • Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef) and infrastructure-as-code practices.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Knowledge of monitoring and alerting tools to track system health and performance (e.g., Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana).
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and willingness to participate in on-call rotations.
    • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Technical certifications (such as AWS, Linux, etc.) are a plus
