    Job Description

    • Lead and improve product quality and process efficiency via systematic methodologies such as LEAN 6 Sigma to achieve optimum operation excellence.
    • Assigned areas for improvement includes but are not limited to assembly and test, workflow and WIP transaction, capacity analysis, line balancing, space and layout optimization, rework and scrap reduction, tooling re-design as well as continuous quality improvement.
    • Maintain and update Bill of Materials, ERP attributes, piece part/tooling/assembly drawings, operating instructions, and shop floor control systems.
    • Streamline and standardize manufacturing processes to improve yield, cycle time and ultimately product gross margin within ISO standard boundary.
    • Responsible for Non-Performance quality issue, OBE from customers for quality improvement. Conduct root cause analysis and performs failure analysis for production processes and mechanical related issues.
    • Plan and execute engineering qualification via mechanical, environmental and/or other reliability testing. Perform mechanical design analysis and FEA simulation for any new product development or product reliability enhancement.
    • Familiar with process routing for proper standard product costing and manufacturing lead time roll up.
    • Identify and participate in projects focuses on Manufacturing Modernization, Automated System and cost-effective operations. Execute Manufacturing Automation and Robotics projects, focus on Cobot Automation and development of software, applications, and tools for Automation system.
    • Assisting NPI project lead, work cross functionally with R&D, Marketing, Planning, Procurement and Production to launch new products according to POR.
    • Collaborate with peers such as Production Manager/Supervisor and Quality Engineers to improve training effectiveness as part of the effort to continuously enhance staff competency level.
    • Carry out any other assignments as and when requested by the Management to meet business objectives.
    • Designs, develops and enhances semiconductor, wafer fabrication or related devices/ equipment, processes and handling systems.
    • Reduces broad concepts, business strategies to structured projects.
    • Leads the development, design of new product/ process technology advancements is the key technical contributor.
    • Solves complex, high impact design/ development problems.

    Job Qualifications

    • Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent. Typically 8+ years relevant experience for entry to this level. Post-graduate and/or certification/ license may be required. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in job. Not a natural progression from Advanced/Senior level.
    • Experience in CAD tools, multi-physics simulation skill (preferred ANSYS) and dimensional analysis (GD&T, tolerance stack up). Knowledge in dynamics and vibrations, fatigue analysis or tribology. Experience in the field of Automation and Robotics is an added advantage with the following knowledge: Artificial Intelligence/Deep Learning, IoT, Cloud Computing and Database, Web/App development, Image Processing.
