    Job Description & Summary

    A career within Tax services, we will provide you with the opportunity to grow your career in supporting our tax business in delivering distinctive, holistic and high-quality tax services which are underpinned by deep technical expertise. You will be part of a team that is at the forefront of providing tax technical solutions. As a manager, your focus includes:

    • Stay up-to-date and analyse the impact of changes to tax policies, laws and regulations
    • Draft technical communications and newsletters
    • Draft thought leadership articles and update PwC publications
    • Conduct thorough technical research and analysis of tax issues
    • Attend to internal enquiries on technical issues
    • Assist with internal technical forums and discussions

    To excel in this role, you need to demonstrate a deep understanding of Malaysian tax laws, the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to stakeholders, and an aptitude for continuous learning. You'll work alongside a team of problem solvers, collaborating to find technical solutions within Tax services. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

    • Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations.

    • Address sub-standard work or work that does not meet firm's/client's expectations.
    • Develop a point of view on key global trends, and how they impact clients.
    • Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties.
    • Simplify complex messages, highlighting and summarising key points.
    • Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Law or professional accounting/taxation qualification
    • A minimum of 6 years of experience in tax or a similar role
    • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian tax laws and regulations
    • Excellent interpersonal, managerial, analytical and problem-solving skills
    • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, professional services environment
    • Excellent command of spoken and written English and Malay
