Description

We are hiring this position for one of our investee company involved in manufacturing business and this position is based in SEPANG.

The Role

The Accounting Manager will be a key member of the WRP Finance team to lead the GL, AR and AP accounting teams. You will lead and manage the management and financial reporting of WRP Group. You will partner with the Chief Financial Officer to ensure the delivery of all accounting and reporting processes.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely, accurate and complete closing process for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reporting package to management and stakeholders
Manage all daily accounting processes to ensure timely and complete processing, including general ledger, fixed assets, inventory, accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Ensure complete and correct account posting, journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliation/analysis
Manage the statutory and regulatory financial reporting and audit of all companies within WRP Group, and be the primary contact for external statutory auditors for WRP Group
Perform monthly financial statements variance analysis and support the CFO to drive resolution of business issues arising from the analysis
Implements business controls best practices, ensures controls are in place and recommends areas for improvement
Leads continuous process improvement and works with MIS team to increase automation of financial reporting

Requirements

A 'can do' attitude with ability to make changes to drive efficiencies and improvement in processes
Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Degree in accounting/finance with a professional certification such as ACCA, CA, CPA
A minimum of 8 years' accounting and reporting experience, with preference for audit and MFRS exposure. Working tax experience will be an added advantage.
ERP working knowledge would be advantageous
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel
