    Description

    ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Your role as the HR Business Partner will be responsible to align our business objectives with strategic people agenda and priorities in all strategic business units. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to our leadership team and stakeholders that reflects the business objectives, mission and core values of the organization. You will need to maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. Your responsibilities include:

    • Serving as a coach and mentor for your business unit and others.
    • Conducting closed engagement with respective business units and providing consultation with line management, providing HR guidance where appropriate.
    • Analyzing the trends and metrics in partnership with the group HR to develop solutions, programs and policies for the company as a whole.
    • Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues, including conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
    • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance including partnering with the external legal advisor if required.
    • Developing people strategies and designing approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee engagement.
    • Analyzing and interpreting various types of employee reports, such as compensation, job levels, and attrition, to guide decision making and provide proactive solutions to their client group.
    • Participate in interviews as and when required.
    • Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to people managers (e.g. coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions).
    • Working closely with leadership team, head of strategic business units and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
    • Developing, implementing and improving HR policies, procedures, strategies, interpretation, processes and ISO.
    • Developing and improving the contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
    • Assisting international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters such as Visa and Immigration, onboarding, accommodation and etc.
    • Providing guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
    • Identifying training needs for all business units and individual executive coaching needs.
    • Participating in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success and follow up to ensure training objectives are met.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    TO BE A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

    • Possess degree in related field, with a minimum 5 years of experience in the HR Business Partner role.
    • Successful experience as an HR leader and demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, especially organization development, change management, employee relations, compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
    • A deep knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations and having experience in resolving complex employee relations issues.
    • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills as well as organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Has the ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
    • Able to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's structure, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
    • Possess excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Able to use knowledge of the business strategy or the ability to probe for required understanding of business strategy/context in order to properly align solutions or problem-solving approaches.
    • Demonstrated strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Critical thinker with success in developing innovative solutions to business issues.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Willing to be relocated and travel as and when required.
