    MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

    The RTR Team Lead is accountable to deliver useable, accurate and timely financial information from the point of transaction through to financial close (period, quarter, and annual) in accordance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.

    The individual will participate in exception management and continuous improvement activities, as a part of day to day work efforts leading a general accounting team in accordance with the global, regional and country specific RTR process standards.

    As both an individual contributor and a team lead, they may be called upon to develop and deliver process documentation, training content, and super user support for specific finance processes, including general accounting, fixed assets, capital project accounting, intercompany, allocations, chart of accounts, SOX compliance, and internal controls.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Manage the RTR processes and services at the regional shared service organization, which include:
    • Recruit and select the General Accounting support team for the region
    • Ensure KPIs and SLAs are met accordingly
    • Develop the agreed performance measures, KPIs, and goal setting processes to support general accounting
    • Leads an accounting team, performing general accounting processes. from the point of transaction through to financial close and periodic external reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in support of corporate, country/legal entity and regional controllers.
    • Support and guide the internal and external teams to identify implement and maintain minimum effective controls for the finance process activities performed to ensure data integrity
    • Lead the internal team to perform ad hoc and special projects assignments, as required.
    • Sustain Service Agreement delivery standards with the internal customers
    • Lead the team to support data integrity and preparation of financial information to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness and accessibility.
    • Sustain minimum effective controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, GAAP, FASB, IFRS, Lease accounting and any other accounting pronouncements and policies required.
    • Provide guidance to the team on policies and standards communicated by the Global Process Managers and corporate requirements.
    • Supervise process improvement reviews with the team as a part of ongoing exception management and continuous improvement activities.
    • Lead team activities to develop clearly defined, achievable team and individual goals.
    • Capture and review scorecard key performance indicator (KPI) and measurement outcomes on a daily, weekly, and period basis
    • Work closely with associated 3rd party outsource team(s), other internal GA team leads and the regional service quality manager to prioritize and target exceptions for improvement/ waste elimination
    • Mentor and ensure staff are able to make the time commitment and participate in the standard training curriculum for the standard RTR and service management processes required to be successful in their roles.
    • Coach and guide team members to apply new concepts and standards to their day to day assignments.
    • Assess the capabilities of team members and identify additional training topics to support their continuing development.
    • Support rotational assignments and cross training to develop individual staff member capabilities

    QUALIFICATION

    • Degree in Accounting, CPA
    • At least 7 years of experience with preferably at least 3 years in a big 4 audit /tax firm and at least 3 years in general accounting in a complex multi country/ multi-jurisdictional shared service environment
    • Demonstrated capability to understand accounting outcomes and explain accounting treatment
    • SAP or other enterprise systems experience advantage
    • Strong English communication skills and the ability to interact with internal and external parties at all levels. Mandarin language skills a plus
    • Reasonable skill in Microsoft applications – excel, word and powerpoint
    • Attentive to details with a desire in Continuous Improvement
