    Description

    Job Description:

    • Lead regulatory compliance governance and directly report to the Head of Compliance.
    • Ensure that related regulatory laws, rules, and regulations guided by the Bank Negara Malaysia as well as other regulatory bodies, are monitored, cascaded, and implemented by the organization.
    • Ensure timely and satisfactory compliance to regulatory expectations, by supporting internal stakeholders through advisory and recommendations, ensuring prompt submission of requirements, replies to issues, regulatory reports as well as monitoring of resolution and compliance of the internal controls aligned with the regulatory requirements, among others.
    • Review and update of Compliance policies and procedures including on financial crime and personal data protection.
    • Perform compliance risk assessments, gap assessments and compliance assurance on key regulatory requirements to identify any compliance gaps in business processes and workflows, and make recommendations for remediation measures.
    • Continuously monitor any regulatory gaps and the progress of remediation action plans (together with guidance to stakeholders) to ensure all gaps are appropriately addressed.
    • Prepare any relevant materials for compliance training and awareness programme.
    • Assist to prepare updates on Regulatory Compliance matters for the senior management and Board of Directors.
    • And any other tasks to be assigned by the Head of Compliance.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Accountancy, Finance, Business Management, Banking or Business equivalent or related field
    • Minimum 3 years of compliance experience in financial services industry
    • Relevant certification in Compliance e.g. ICA, CAM, etc is an advantage
    • Good knowledge and experience in financial crime compliance (AML/CFT), personal data protection compliance (PDPA/MCIPD) and anti-bribery and corruption requirements is an advantage
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Good project management and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail
    • Able to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
    • Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
    • Work well independently and with a team.
    • Able to multitask and agile.
