    Job Purpose

    • The Regulatory Compliance Officer is the point person for all matters relating to product registrations, business licensing, and business compliance. This includes, but not limited to, ensuring that Young Living products, publications, literature/collaterals, and campaigns meet the local regulations. The incumbent will be working closely with the Global & Regional Regulatory teams to ensure products that are developed meet the requirements and standards of local regulations.
    • Must be in the know, observe and implement all aspects of local regulatory compliance rulings related to products, including pre- and post-product registration stage.
    • Must be fastidious about timely product registrations/notifications/licensing to meet local launch deadlines.
    • This position covers Malaysia, with the possibility to participate in regional projects where required (mainly in SEA).

    Job Responsibility

    • Responsible for Malaysia product registrations/maintenance and regulatory affairs, monitor and keep track of all documentations, ensure all products fulfil latest regulations in timely & accurate manner. Build in-depth and correct understanding and interpretation of local regulatory frameworks and laws pertaining to Young Living products at all stages of product life-span, from pre-development stage of reviewing formula, claims, label, marketing materials incorporating MY local regulations, to post-launch compliance maintenance.
    • Works closely with Global Regulatory, Research and Development, Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments to obtain all technical documents necessary to comply with local regulations, such as product ingredient/COA/safety/purity/efficacy/claims substantiation requirements.
    • Required to liaise with Project Management Office (PMO), Global & Regional regulatory team, local marketing and operations team to update related local regulatory status, risen risk and solution as necessary for all new product launches – product compliance review, from initiation stage, production stage, shipment stage, to launch stage is in accordance to local regulation in order to meet the target launch dateline. This includes product labels, instruction manuals, packaging and product claims.
    • Build in-depth and correct understanding and interpretation of local direct selling regulations and liaises with the ministry that governs the direct selling industry (KPDNKK) in making sure all products, sales & marketing programs and promotions, marketing materials, company details, retail outlets, website info and pricing are compliance to the direct selling regulations and submitted to the ministry for approval in timely manner.
    • Oversee local product safety, quality and risk assessment of any potential or foreseeable issue on products and update local management and related global departments on the potential risks and solutions.
    • Support other departments in product technical supports, which includes import-export regulations and process, product technical enquiries by distributors and local internal staffs, product complains, and etc. through all communication channels.
    • Any other duties as assigned might include, marketing events planning and management support, department stocks keeping, company licenses maintenance and renewal, and etc.

    Education and Experience

    • 3-5 years' experience in product registration/ local regulatory affairs
    • Have experience dealing with government agencies eg NPRA, SIRIM, KPDN
    • Have experience on direct selling regulations and dealing with DSAM (Preferred)
    • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Chemistry, Nutrition, legal or relevant areas
    • Able to travel internationally when needed.
    • Good understanding and rapport with government departments.
