- Matters received from Operational Risk Management department; and
- Being a reference point for staff with issues/questions on operational risk matters
- Ensuring that all staff within the department have been trained and are familiar with the respective rules / internal policies relevant to the department
- Timely performance of KRCSA, KORI, GOCEQ, etc.
- Proactive review of business processes to identify potential lapses and ensure the proper functioning of embedded controls.
- Performs quality assurance reviews on event reporting to ensure data accuracy and completeness of the event reported.
- To identify gaps in any arising from the operational risk event and establish the relevant action plan with timeline for closure.
- Monitor the implementation of Operational risk events action plans to ensure resolution of reported events.

About the Department
Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.
We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.
Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.
Job Responsibilities
Risk
Act as liaison between UOBM – Operational Risk Management, Compliance and Internal Audit Department.
Act as AMLA representative for the department.
• Disseminate to staff information and policies/procedural
• Establish the first line of assurance in the business unit by performing the following:
• Ensure the escalation of exceptions noted in KRCSA, KORI, GOCEQ and other business processes reviews.
• To adhere to the escalation and reporting requirements of the Operational Risk Event Management & Reporting Policy
• Ensure timely escalation and reporting of Operational risk events / issues using the Incident Reporting Forms / Operational Risk Management System (ORMS).
• To work closely with the business and Operational Risks Mgmt Dept to resolve issues and exceptions identified.
• To cascade and brief business units on new ORM related policies and risk initiatives roll-out.
• To periodically update the KRCSA, KORI, GOCEQ, Self-Declaration Form and BIA according to business needs.
• To review other management reports, for example operational losses to provide risk assurance to the management.
• To act as a liaison point for internal audit review and to facilitate resolution of internal audit findings.
• To act as the central depository for all ORM related communications e.g. KRCSA, GOCEQ, BIA, KORI, etc.
• To prepare management report to be submitted to Operational Risk Mgmt dept for tabling at respective risk forums.
• Performs risk assessment on products/services (new/variation) and Outsourcing (new/extension of scope).
• Performs timely product/services and outsourcing post implementation reviews.
• Assess the risks and controls in process improvement.
• Promote risk awareness culture within Business/Support.
