    Description

    Overall this role is expected to champion the department towards the group listing direction. Lead and develop the departmental SOP with a pioneering full spectrum of Finance (AP & AR) team aligned with the company and Finance department's goals.

    Business

    • Pioneering the full spectrum of the Finance department, complete with strategic planning, developing departmental SOP with analytical thinking to drive the whole department in line with company direction.
    • Champion and lead the Finance Department toward the group listing direction
    • Ensure the compliance and consistency in departmental SOP with proper implementation of internal policies, accounting standards, regulations
    • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation.

    Accounting Control

    • Ensure smooth month-end closing and timely preparation of financial reports inclusive of all approval of accounting entries, income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, tax computation in accordance with statutory requirements
    • Assist with preparation of group budgets and forecasting.
    • Monitor and analyze budgetary performance and variances.
    • Liaison with auditors, tax consultants, company secretary, bankers and other relevant authorities;
    • Collaborate with auditors to facilitate smooth audit processes.
    • Monitor processing of invoices, Sales and Bank reconciliation, Refund request-customer payment tracking, Change Payment Mode (A-Z), Credit card expenses checking and ensure timely collection of payments
    • Ability to develop & motivate subordinates to achieve organization objective

    Profile

    • Degree in Accounting/ Finance or ACCA is a plus
    • At least 3 year(s) of Managerial working experience in the retail industry is an added advantage.
    • Able to handle a full set of accounts.
    • Required language(s): Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia.
    • Must be able to speak and read Mandarin. Mandarin is required as candidates will need to liaise with China dealers.
    • Required skill(s): MS Excel, SQL
    • Ability to adapt to change of environment and rapid growth workforce
    • Ability to accurately process numerical data & stakeholder management
    • Team management and negotiation skills
    • Problem-solving and proactive attitude
