    Description
  • Provides accounting services to all areas for the country
  • Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepares all financial reports.
  • Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, and income.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy. Prepares balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow statements, prepares and consolidates financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports.
  • Designs, modifies, implements and/or maintains accounting systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions. Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures and internal controls.
  • May prepare written technical accounting and financial reporting position papers for review; including SEC reporting, share-based compensation, revenue recognition, segment reporting, impairment, equity -method investees, acquisitions and discontinued operations.
  • Coordinates with all relevant stakeholders to ensure integration, efficiency/effectiveness of the service delivery
  • Owns and drive future productivity improvements to achieve efficiency (cost reduction), effective targets
  • Identify and implement process improvement ideas in GEM location
  • Adhere to statutory requirements including audited financial statements, tax filing and corporate filing.
  • Ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for FRA are clearly defined, measured regularly and achieved. When not achieved, root-cause analysis is performed and corrective action plans implemented.

    • Education:

  • University Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce or professional accounting qualifications or Chartered Accountant
  • FRA/Audit/Controls and Compliance background
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certified preferred

    • Experience

  • Overall relevant work experience of 6 to 8 years
  • Strong technical competence
  • Knowledge of and experience in working in a distribution company
  • People management experience with team responsibility
  • System implementation (i.e. SAP or other ERP)
  • Proven track record in project management and ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Experience in managing performance against SLAs and O&O services

  • Experience in medical device industry
