    Description

    Overall

    Perform audit within credit and non-credit related areas to strengthen the Bank risk control framework.

    What you will do

    • Perform / review credit related audit, i.e. Retail and Corporate/ Commercial as per the approved yearly Audit Plan and within the budgeted timelines.
    • Perform / review non-credit related area such as Legal Department, Corporate Governance, Connected Parties and others as required by IAD.
    • Prepare audit documentations + (planning stage) prior commencement of audit field work.
    • Conduct field work and record material findings and issues queries to auditees.
    • Discuss material observations with the auditees during exit meeting.
    • Timely Prepare Draft Audit reports.
    • Complete the working papers with all relevant risk areas are covered in the audit assignments.
    • Periodically update the audit programs.
    • Perform monthly follow up on all pending audit issues.
    • Assisting investigation in credit related matters.
    • Carry out any other appropriate duties and other audit assignments instructed by IAD from time to time.

    Qualifications

    • Tertiary education in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, Banking or related discipline.
    • Professional certification e.g., CIA, BKA, etc.
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience, preferably at a financial institution and/or including management experience. Total period of experience may include experience in Credit related matters.
    • Possess good knowledge of Islamic bank products, process control and regulatory guidelines
    • In-depth understanding of auditing gained by performing complex audits independently from beginning to end, including reporting and presentation
    • Managed multiple special projects and audits assignments
    • Experience with complex processes or organizations, preferably experience in operational or technical work
    • Excellent skills report writing
    • Advanced level of the English language, both orally and in writing.
    • Understanding of (1) auditing standards, e.g. COSO, etc. (2) regulatory requirement and guidelines issued by BNM, e.g. Credit Risk etc.
