Description

What A Day Looks Like @ Elliot & Co

Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes
Perform monthly bank reconciliations, review and finalise accounts to ensure accuracy
Monthly, quarterly and annually financial reporting
Preparing/ Reviewing and analyze full-set of accounts/unaudited financialstatements to ensure accuracy and completeness in accordance with SFRS/IFRS
Process/review payroll/ staff reimbursements
Review quarterly government sales tax (SST/GST) filing preparation and filing
Provide financial advice and information on local tax-related regulations andincentives
Ensure transactions are recorded under the correct tax categories in the system
Prepare annual tax computation and filings including ECI
Attending to accounting queries and requests in a timely and professional manner
Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
Streamlining accounting and financial reporting process to promote high efficiencyand accuracy in book-keeping activities
Maintains accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures
Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training,and maintaining strong employee relationships
Basic corporate secretarial duties including lodgements to ACRA and preparation of resolutions
Perform ad hoc duties as requested

You Will Likely Succeed In This Job If:

Excellent communication skills; being proficient in English, both written and spoken
Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required
Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in full set/ GL/ Accounting to Reporting in various industries
Able to understand Singapore Accounting and Taxation Practices and Standards including GST
Professional Accounting Qualifications or Degree in Accounting/any related fields
Familiar with Xero Accounting System
