    About The Company

    Randstad is partnering with a leading global marketing agency. They are looking for an assistant finance manager based in Malaysia to join their team.

    Responsibilities

    about the job
    • Lead weekly P&L reforecast discussions with business leaders
    • Review weekly cash flow projections
    • Conduct monthly GL closing activities, including preparing reports for Global, posting month-end journals, and compiling financial statements, supporting schedules, and tax computations
    • Coordinate with external auditors for year-end audits and tax filings, preparing financial statements, accounting working papers, and supporting schedules
    • Assist Finance Manager in annual and quarterly reforecast preparation
    • Ensure timely submission of statutory and tax filings
    • Proficient in GST and WHT regulations
    • Assist in quarterly GST submissions
    • Reconcile inter-company discrepancies and conduct variance analysis
    • Standardize accounting procedures and oversee company practices
    • Support Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks

    Requirements

    • Minimum 5 years accounting experience
    • Background in advertising/digital agency industry required
    • Preferred qualification as Accountant
    • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Ability to multitask and collaborate across departments and countries
    • Thrives under pressure and tight deadlines
    • Self-motivated and capable of independent work
    • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, Pivot table), Powerpoint, and Xero preferred.

    About The Manager/team

    This role reports to the senior regional finance manager.
