    Description
    We are currently looking for a Tax Accounting Professional to join the Shared Services Center of a multinational corporation. This role will involve handling responsibilities related to Australia & APAC taxation, finance, and treasury. Additionally, the successful candidate will lead the establishment of a Tax Center of Excellence in the Malaysia SSC, serving as the pioneer for this initiative.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Manage the preparation and completion of the AU Groupâs income tax return and other tax compliance reporting.
    • Coordinate relationships with external tax specialists and oversee their work.
    • Manage/involvement in Australian Taxation Office (-enacted reviews, including ATO Combined Assurance Review.
    • Consult with Group Tax team on tax-related reporting and taxation matters impacting the Australian group.
    • Manage relationships with banking partners & Oversee AU Groupâs banking facilities, cash requirements, and other treasury activities.
    • Conduct quarterly/annual reviews with banking partners.
    • Prepare and review month-end reporting, including trial balance, financial consolidation tool, balance sheet reconciliations, and management control system analysis.
    • Oversee the preparation and review of budgets and reforecasts.
    • Prepare and review weekly rolling cash forecast reporting in the financial consolidation tool.
    • Handle monthly intercompany claims and statements to/from Australian and international related parties.
    • Manage banking activities, including payment approvals.
    • Coordinate with external auditors for completion of audit requirements, including the preparation of local consolidated financial statements.
    • Review various payroll transactions/processes and approve payroll payments.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements for Australia market.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA qualification preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, preferably in a corporate environment.
    • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations, including GST, income tax, and transfer pricing.
    • Experience in GL and Treasury functions, including cash management & banking relationships.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax regulations and provide practical solutions.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
