    Machine Learning Subject Matter Expert (SME)

    Important Information

    Location: Kuala Lumpur

    Experience: 5 years+ relevant experience

    Job Mode: Contract

    Work Mode: On-site

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Solution Design and Development:

  • Lead the design and development of machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable machine learning solutions.
  • Explore and experiment with various machine learning techniques and frameworks to optimize model performance.

    • Data Analysis and Preparation:

  • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and insights that can inform the development of machine learning models.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and data scientists to ensure the availability and quality of relevant data for model training and evaluation.

    • Model Deployment and Integration:

  • Oversee the deployment of machine learning models into production systems, working closely with IT teams and ensuring seamless integration with existing applications.
  • Monitor and maintain deployed models, addressing any issues related to performance, scalability, or accuracy.

    • Subject Matter Expertise:

  • Serve as the primary source of expertise on machine learning techniques, staying abreast of the latest developments in the field and advising on their applicability to business challenges.
  • Educate and train internal teams on machine learning concepts, tools, and best practices.

    • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with business units to identify opportunities for applying machine learning to enhance customer experience, risk management, fraud detection, and other relevant areas.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating technical concepts into business implications and vice versa.

    • Quality Assurance and Governance:

  • Establish and enforce best practices for machine learning model development, ensuring adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to validate the accuracy, fairness, and robustness of machine learning models.

    • Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by evaluating the performance of deployed models, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing iterative updates.
  • Participate in research and development activities to explore emerging technologies and methodologies in the machine learning space.

    • Project Management:

  • Manage machine learning projects from inception to completion, including resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables.
