    Description

    Plan and coordinate the GL unit activities for production of financial reporting as well as analyse the data to ensure accuracy and timeliness on submission In accordance with the Malaysian Approved Accounting Standard and submitted to the intended recipients in a timely manner to ensure compliance to statutory requirements such as Companies Act, 2016, Income Tax Act, 1967, etc.

    Key accountabilities:

    • Supervise, coach and guide the team in preparation of accounting journals accurately and on a timely basis.
    • Produce and analyse monthly financial statements of the Company to ensure accurate presentation and timely reporting in compliance with accounting standards and Company Act 2016.
    • Analyse and prepare monthly reconciliation and schedules to ensure accuracy of accounting treatment and timely production.
    • Produce and analyse audited accounts of the Companies in accordance to specific deadlines to ensure compliance to statutory requirements and financial covenants.
    • Produce and analyse tax return and initial tax estimate of the Companies within specified deadlines to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
    • Review the relevant forms/annual reports, calculation and submit it to Statistics Department of Malaysia and Malaysian Highway Authority within the specified deadlines to ensure compliance with clauses of certain agreements.
    • Execute and coordinate the implementation of projects by gathering/providing relevant information relating to the projects to ensure the long outstanding issues are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Liaise and work effectively with external auditors in order to ensure accuracy accounting treatment and timely production.
    • Liaise with DIS and ERP system consultants on any problems encounter relating to related modules in Oracle system.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Accounting or Professional certificates or equivalent
    • At least 3 to 5 years working experience in the relevant field of a computerised accounting environment.
