    Description

    Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation and review of provisional current and deferred tax computation for statutory audit purposes, and tax estimations / revisions (if any) for submission to the Inland Revenue Board
  • Manage and monitor a portfolio of clients, and responsible for providing them with a full suite of tax compliance services
  • Preparation and review of tax computations for the submission of income tax returns to the IRB strictly in accordance to the relevant submission due dates
  • Lead, guide and manage a team of Tax and Senior Tax Associates and perform review of work completed to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Conduct productive liaison with the IRB and other relevant government departments on applications, appeals and audits on tax-related matters
  • Participate and lead team members in carrying out indirect tax assignments
  • Participate and lead team members in tax advisory assignments including international tax planning, transfer pricing issues, tax incentives and applications, tax impact on corporate restructuring, cross border transactions, etc
  • Analyse and implement the relevant newly enacted tax legislations and tax rulings

    • Job Requirements

  • Professional accounting qualification / Degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant taxation experience, preferably in a Professional Service Firm
  • Ability to establish good communication skills with the Inland Revenue Board, Royal Malaysian Customs Department and other relevant government departments
  • Ability to handle and manage several simultaneous assignments
  • Strong team management, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have client service oriented skills
  • A good team player and have a positive attitude
  • Highly organized and reliable with a strong sense of integrity
  • Excellent communication and written skill in English and Bahasa Malaysia at the least, strong fluency in other languages will be advantageous
