    Description

    Reporting to the Head of Finance Operations, the candidate is responsible for the following areas:

    Finance Operations:

    • Ensure the timely preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, financial analysis, and related schedules and reports.
    • Ensure timely processing of Purchase Orders and Payment Requests.
    • Perform cash flow planning to ensure sufficient liquid funds are available for payments to suppliers and ensure accurate and timely payments to suppliers.

    Taxation:

    • Ensure timely preparation of tax computations, income tax returns, income tax forms, withholding tax submissions and payments, and other relevant documents.
    • Perform tax law research and identify the latest tax regulation changes, incorporating them into tax computations and filings.
    • Provide consultation on various tax matters to internal stakeholders.
    • Coordinate with tax authorities when necessary.

    Management and Statutory Reporting:

    • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during relevant audits to ensure the timely completion of the audit.
    • Prepare the annual statutory financial statements and relevant papers for the Executive Committee, Board Committee, and Board.
    • Provide consultation on various financial reporting matters, including but not limited to, the application of the relevant approved accounting standards to internal stakeholders.

    Budget and forecasting

    • Prepare income statement forecasts.
    • Provide input in the development of the departmental budget for consolidation into the Corporation's budget.
    • Assist in the development of the Corporation's budget.

    Other matters:

    • Ensure compliance with the Corporation's policies and procedures at all times.
    • Review, develop, or enhance and implement relevant finance-related policies and procedures.
    • Develop, enhance, and manage financial-related systems and management tools.
    • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to perform optimally.
    • Assist with ad hoc duties/tasks as required from time to time.

    Job Requirements:

    • Degree in Finance & Accounting or related field;
    • Professional Accounting Qualification;
    • Familiar with the local tax practice and tax compliance programme;
    • Good working knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) covering the basic elements of financial reporting requirements.
    • At least 8 years of working experience with a minimum 5 years' experience in public practice;
    • Minimum of 2 years' experience in financial operations, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
    • Experience in managerial position.
    • Experience in bank operations and financial reporting practices will be an added advantage.
    • Experience in investment transactions processing and accounting will be an added advantage.
    • Articulate and possess good report writing skills, as well as strong interpersonal, leadership, and time management skills.
    • Excellent proficiency in both written and spoken English.
    • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Power BI, and Outlook).
